We’re not a traditional consulting firm, and that’s intentional. Steadwell was created to fill a gap we saw up close—many rural and community-based clinics are doing incredible work, but they often don’t have access to the strategic support they need to improve their systems, expand their reach, or grow sustainably. We believe these clinics shouldn’t be left behind simply because they can’t afford a high-priced consultant.

How We Got Here

Our story starts with firsthand experience. As students working in physician-owned and rural clinics across Texas, we saw how much was being asked of small teams with limited resources. Clinics were juggling everything—caring for patients, managing operations, coordinating referrals—often without access to tools or guidance that could make their work more efficient and sustainable.

We saw this not as a problem to complain about, but as a problem worth solving.

That’s when Steadwell was born. Instead of waiting for degrees or titles, we built a team of college students from diverse backgrounds—healthcare, business, engineering, and public health—who were ready to offer real-world solutions grounded in both empathy and innovation.

Who We Are

Steadwell is a student-led consulting group providing affordable, hands-on support to small clinics, nonprofit practices, and physician-owned offices. Our team brings together academic knowledge and field experience to help clinics tackle real challenges—things like:

• Streamlining patient flow and front desk operations

• Improving appointment scheduling and reducing no-show rates

• Designing outreach and marketing strategies to better serve the community

• Supporting tech integration and lightweight system improvements

• Conducting field research and workflow assessments

We understand that most clinics can’t pause operations to focus on strategy. That’s why our approach is collaborative, flexible, and practical. We work alongside clinic teams to identify what’s working, what’s not, and how to move forward in ways that actually make sense on the ground.

What Makes Us Different

Because we’ve worked in the spaces we serve, we’re not just offering ideas—we’re offering understanding. Many of us have been scribes, assistants, and researchers in these very clinics. We’ve seen what it’s like to do a lot with very little, and we’re committed to helping practices find systems that lighten the load—not add to it.

We bring energy, creativity, and attention to detail—but most of all, we bring a deep respect for the work small clinics do every day. We know how critical they are to the communities they serve, and we want to help them continue that work with less stress and more clarity.

Today, we support clinics across San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas, with hopes to grow beyond Texas. As we continue this work, we’re always open to new partnerships—with clinics looking for support, with students who want to make a difference, and with organizations who share our belief in accessible, community-based healthcare.
